THE CARADON HILL AREA HERTAGE PROJECT
is now the CARADON HERITAGE PARTNERSHIP
The Caradon Hill Area Heritage Project (CHAHP) was a Heritage Lottery Fund Living Landscape Partnership Project that helped to recognise, conserve and enhance the area’s special character.
Through events, groups, information sharing and innovative projects, CHAHP involved local residents in all aspects of the heritage and landscape, aiming to celebrate local distinctiveness, protect wildlife and livestock grazing, conserve mining and prehistoric sites and encourage local skills training.
The current Caradon Heritage Partnership is a volunteer led legacy group who have taken on certain elements of the good work carried out by the funded project. Here on this site you will find overviews of each of the project’s five themed programmes, guidance for going out and about, details of groups formed under CHAHP, who runs them and how to get involved.
There is a library of relevant resources and research including a video library and downloadable brochures.
